I’m not one for sending out profound messages, but I wanted to pass along some info.
A good buddy of mine I’ve known since high school is facing the fight of his life. He served FIVE tours as a Army Ranger in Iraq and Afghanistan and came home to find out that he was suffering from ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease - a progressive, usually fatal, neurodegenerative disease.
It is difficult to put into words how great of a guy Beau is, but I will tell you he has served as a huge inspiration to me over the years. Always seeming to be the underdog, Beau never let anyone or anything stop him from doing what he believed in. He didn’t listen when folks told him he was too slow or small to play college football (sound familiar?), or when they said he’d never last through Ranger School.
Check out his story, and try to remember him when we let seemingly insignificant things get us down.
